I can still picture that injury v Stoke vividly. I was in line with it in the Dolman. What might have been. That certainly was the highs and lows of football in the space of 3 days - a starring role v Arsenal in our first match in Div 1 for 65 years, the winner, and an after match interview with Brian Moore on the Big Match on the Saturday, and then this on the Tuesday.
Still say it was the way Shilton came out to go for the ball with his foot up then bringing it down on Cheesley knee and i was in the East End

So he’s done something?
As in what, this team is no better than last seasons efforts, you cannot blame Scott going.

Pearson hasn't done that?

In this game it's because Birmingham are pressing us really high in our own half and stopping us playing short.
Or is it because we are too deep and given them room to get forward? Home games are very similar. Crowd quiet perhaps with what they are dishing up. Play well supporters will react to it.

Much better second half.
Fully expecting us to get a plum draw for the next round, then lose the replay.
At least we will get a mention

Look forward to someone blaming Pearson for that somehow. But **** me what chance have we got when we do this every week.
Some prat is telling them to play out from the back, try clearing it first.

Would be stunned if we got anywhere near 10m and 5m with add-ons also seems a stretch right now.
His form has dipped and he is not a regular starter at the moment, I truly can’t see much interest as things stand.
His formed dipped when he knew he was going to the World Cup, he did not want an injury of any kind. If he can get more playing time it is down to him with the world watching.

I first went in 1967 - too late to see John Atyeo play unfortunately .
55 years of hurt
Getting into the old first div and then couple of seasons with TC helped slightly.

The Derby keeper got sent off and Paul Simpson scored a hat trick against us that day. Wayne Allison scored the winner with a perfect header. 3-4 to City at the old Baseball Ground. What a dump that place was……
I remember watching it live.
Yeah i was there, leaving the ground was a high wall with loads of stuff being chucked over at us. But enjoyed the day.

Back then rules were so different, you had to be a solid keeper and expect bumps. Most keepers of today would not handle it. But Gibbo was a natural and commanded his area. So i would rate him highly.

Why should we hear from them regularly? They employ others for the day to day of the club, how often do you hear from other clubs owners?
JL was quick enough to come out and say "We should be doing better"! What the hell has he done to improve anything?

Yet he started with the club as a Left Back, Could always find him during the week in the Robins Cafe. Seen most of his games.
-
Was at the Gate for this game and certainly had our monies worth, Hart got a load of crap sat in the stand.

Am I going to get pelters for saying that Massengo has too many dips in form to get truly excited about? I’d drop him for James at half time unfortunately
Might just be me, but now the transfer window has closed his form has dipped!
He’s gone.
