Its quite clever on SLs part because if we finish lower mid table, SL can sit back and say I was right not to back him with funds. It is all very strange though as the job he’s done under the circumstances I would imagine any other champ club would have offered a new contract by now.

The starting price is 25m so stop “mucking us around” and pay it or F off and find someone else. Either pay the asking price or dont if they pull out now we aren’t gonna cry and say we should have taken 18 or 20. We keep him for another 2 seasons.

If Alex becomes / is that good, he will stand out regardless of what team he plays for. Maybe Lloyd Kelly didn’t stand out at Bournemouth as he isn’t that good…..

Lansdown is a very honourable bloke, he never has and never will stand in the way of a dream move as long as it’s fair for everyone.

On the flip side we would get 2 attempts at promotion to the premier league with him in our team, presumably improving along the way. if and it’s a big if we were to be successful in promotion over these two seasons that would be worth a hell of a lot more……

The others you mention have just been run better and the money they have spent a lot more efficiently than we have. We our turning things round, we will get there have patience, we are in good hands.
