  1. Sadly, it's down to 3 things. The coaching and tactics have made it very hard to get results. I can't see LS learning a great deal from this and rebuilding next season. I would get a new coach. The players are simply not good enough for WPL. When you come up against seasoned internationals every week then it's tough. This leads on to the final point. Investment, recruitment and development. If Bristol Sport is serious about a WPL team then it will cost.
  2. Spurs should have scored a lot more. 5 or 6 excellent chances at least.
  3. We are a long way behind the top teams in the PL. It's all about funding now the big clubs have decided the women's game is worth investing in. Like the men's team we can't compete unless we invest. Although it's a lot more affordable in the WPL. However, the best players are always going to be attracted by the big name clubs. I'm not sure about the pathway for younger players to progress, but would hope that it can follow the model of the men's team. Apart from selling our best players! I think the coaching has been poor this season, very little plan B and performances have been predictable.
  4. Same problems as usual. Early goal conceding possession through poor passing, getting hurried in possession. Better press when spurs keeper has the ball, but should be 2 down. Poor miss from spurs.
  5. Sorry you have to put up with negative comments in what is an interesting and genuine question. My brother lives in Hertfordshire so like you every home game is 'away'. He chooses to have a ST so we can all sit together, we live 10 minutes walk from AG, but rarely does night games. It's a challenge for anyone living outside Bristol. I do think there needs to be a better reward system alongside other improvements, not least on the pitch. I've been going to AG for 53 years, and like many I feel there is still a massive 'disconnect' between the club and fans. Despite all the talk, the foundation and supporter services. Don't get me wrong, they do a lot of great work, but everything can be improved.
  6. I think this pretty much sums everything up. We just accept the mediocrity and start again in August. The blame firmly sits with the owners. Fed up like many people. Solution, not an easy one as no foreign investor will want to buy Bristol Sport. It's hard enough finding investors for a football club!
  7. I agree, points will be hard to get over the next few games.
  8. Says it all. https://x.com/FAWLTYTOWERS_/status/822062972071612417
  9. I would agree Phantom. Little flair or personality.
  10. Totally agree. The gulf in quality is massive. Thestrup isolated constantly trying to press 3 central defenders. They could just stroll around and find a pass. Setup was about damage limitation, which worked due to poor MU finishing. Still a huge problem holding onto the ball. It's laudable trying to play out from the back, but the players aren't good enough. To many misplaced passes, particularly in midfield. I've said before that there is too much space in the formation of the team. It's too easy for teams to fill these gaps with a press, and force turnovers. Hopefully the players have learnt a lot, not sure about the coaching. They could struggle in the Championship next season.
  11. Feel sorry for Thestrup. She's trying to press a back 3 on her own with no support . The formation is more about damage limitation than positive intent.
  12. It's going to be a long afternoon. Like a training game for MU. We drop so deep when they are in possession, their players can play walking football.
  13. There is still a perception by some people that working long hours is essential, a sign of commitment, or other such reasons, etc. Generally it's more important to work smarter. As a psychologist, there are clearly issues that are not being addressed hence the problems we are currently experiencing. Totally agree the buck stops with LM and the team he brought in, as well as the Lansdown team. Unless this changes, we are in for a rough few weeks, followed by a summer of 'spin' from the board etc.
  14. He's talking of belief...wtf are the sports psychologists doing? What are you LM and your coaches doing to increase belief. SFA by the look of it.
