  1. I think some people actually Forget Scott's journey and that he was so fed up of travelling back and forth from Guernsey that when he left Bournemouth  he went to Guernsey fell out of love with football in time joined a amateur team then  to Guernsey FC to get some of his life back, then we picked  him up.

Some will think Oh Bournemouth are a small club but he is still only 19 and is switched on when it comes to life it appears from interviews, so no surprise if he wants to join them , they are in the Prem and he's closer to mates and friends.

Anyway lets get this thread to 200 pages

As the years pass I have more tolerance for his nonsense behaviour off the pitch because if anyone had a tough start in life, he did.

On the pitch he was bloody good, strong, quick & a proper goalscorer.

Only at City though could we have a 50 goal strike partnership & fail to even make the playoffs or the season before have a clown in charge who didn’t even put him on the subs bench for the most important game of the season.

Him and Brooker in their prime was one of my favourite combinations , Lita beating men for pace and poaching . Then Brooker with his strength guile and ability to score outside the box .

    That is not a penalty.

Only thing i could see is the possibility of hand ball ? But I didnt see if the ref said what the penalty was for?

    Great save though!

Yes he had more to spend than any manager but the teams around us were doing the same and it is known that many signings were bought whether LJ or his team wanted them or not .

The highs were very high but the lows were darn low. Other than the man utd season he couldn't quite find the right balance but as stated above his best players were always being sold . For me I think Webster was the biggest loss ,  such a shame we only had him for one season .

I ll enjoy keeping a eye out to see how LJ does in Europe.

What are people basing this on?

He’s played 3 games ever for Luton at 26 & about 20 for Barnsley in L1.

This is the opposite of how we sign players now, we don’t do so because they have one good game once.

Mads Andersen on the other hand if we get the Scott money would definitely be top of my list.

Yep i was very impressed by Anderson too , only seen him in this game but looked a good leader at the back .

  6. Feel for Barnsley who played for so long with 10 men , yes at times the owls made the keeper make saves but you really wouldn't of noticed Barnsley had 10 men until extra time .

I dont think it was a red card considering it looked like he slipped trying to get the ball .

Windass or Smith didn't do a great deal all game but windass header was a good finish .

I just find the whole thing irritating

Yes if only RR had bought a prem team and thrown money everywhere , at least he is playing football manager the most satisfying way . Also being wise enough to get a grant for the new stadium,  yes he spent loads from a non league team but it still isn't easy .

I much this approach then the idiot that bought chelsea and said we should have no relegation.... one day SL will sell up and I'd prefer getting a RR then Vincent tan... but its just luck of the draw really.

  8. I think Bell had one of his best games for a while , him and Bell know each inside out from academy days and having pring back was huge boost but should dropped back at times to support him but I Obgene isn't being touted from a big move for nothing.

I think he suits 4-3-3 more than 4-2-3-1 but when have Naismith,Williams and  James (King this 2nd half of the season) all been fit at the same time? Which I'm sure Pearson must have this position pretty high up in priority in the summer window . Although we will hopefully have a almost new signing in when Benayon returns.

I think Pearson is wise enough to not just play one formation but if Scott leaves , it would make more sense to go towards 4-3-3 given the amount of  strikers we have!

I am still hugely disappointed that Ashton Vale was kaiboshed. The blank sleight that would allowed for from a myriad of perspectives would have been so much better. The idea Bristol Sport now have to shrink wrap Stuff around the space available plus a stand that is clearly out of keeping with the rest of the ground gets on my wick and I’m sure it did SLs.

There is another current thread about unfair subsidies being appropriated by Wrexham. In Wrexham case they are rightly wanting to stage international games in possibly multiple sports and thus can gain a subsidy from the Welsh/national government. Ashton Vale could have had substantial benefit and may well have gotten a subsidy for similar reasons for the West of England.

I asked in the other thread did Bristol Sport gain any subsidy for the redevelopment of the Gate. I am interested to know!?

I on the other hand am shocked at the amount of Government subsidies that are available for a multitude of things and the ease at which the money is eventually written off over a period. It is a bit nuts!

Yes opponents like it. That’s been a given for a long time now! ?

I think we would of got subsidy if we got the world cup but for the temporary extending of the ground for more seats for the world Cup? My memory could be wrong...

I love that its still within walking distance of the centre and the nostalgia of  having the same walk and local pubs  etc..

  10. I think weimann had a similar game to Wells worked very hard but couldn't quite find that cutting edge in the final 3rd.

Scott has raised the levels hugely when it comes to what we expect from a player playing in the 10 role . I do feel sorry for weimann who got put  Lw first round of subs then rw wing once tanner went off. As said said by others central up top is his best position.

For me what I find the most interesting is the lack of minutes Mehmeti has got recently and the fact he has barely had much time in the 10 role ( think think was his position for wycombe?) espcially when Scott was out.

Also not to bring on Naismith this game was calling out for early risky passes for the front 3.
