  1. Yeah, busy day jobs unfortunately...... I am sure we will ask who is going to be filling any gaps.
  2. Yes, the FSA have networks set up for men's and women's teams, however, it is done by leagues. So, these days I don't speak to many premier league teams like Tottenham. The FSA are just collecting data on away ticket prices for example and do sometimes ask Supporters Trusts to feed in on certain topics and surveys. I must admit i have not come across any teams that talk about the complexities that we face.
  3. The main point here is not necessarily ownership, but that the football club (and hence fans) feel like tenants in a stadium that is multi purpose. Unlike most other arrangements like this, we have no choice. I hear the word "group" used increasingly in meetings and it figures in job titles as well. The challenge is working out who has ultimate sign off on the things that most matter to us fans. Cheers Stu
  4. There are definitely competing priorities for Bristol Sport as they have to commercially maximise the use of the stadium.
  5. @frenchred Was it a link to the meeting last Wednesday you requested? If so, apologies if you didn't receive it. Emails to info@bristolcitysupporters.org are usually dealt with very efficiently.
  6. Yes, plenty of changes accepted over the years. Most of what we have done has been proactive though like commissioning statues, Hall of Fame, end of season awards, running a bar etc. We've influenced things like ticket sales and fees, stadium design, more recently reversing decisions on disabled parking fees and things like that. We probably will never know the extent of our influence, but as long as change happens, that works for us. A big initiative currently is to help get our football club in a good place to respond to the recommendations coming out of the fan led review. The thing we have always been bemused by is why the football club doesn't consult fans and ask for their opinion in advance of things like kit design. We wouldn't have that third kit now if they had! Cheers Stu
  7. Yes Rob. A feature of no meetings for 2 months and people notifying issues that they want discussed. We'll give it a go. Stu
  8. Yep, I was there. my mate got hit in the head with a coin. Cracking atmosphere. And that Motson commentary....... Still some tickets available on our site by the way.
  9. Already asked Phil Alexander to consider the reciprocal agreement with Leeds, otherwise it will be £47.
  10. Completely agree. The Q&A at Crewe was cracking. Probably the noisiest and most interactive ever. Steve had to stop occasionally to wait for a well intentioned song or chant to end. The then CEO, John Pelling (remember him?), stood awkwardly on the stage in support. Like you, I am not sure this type of engagement has been seen anywhere else. Fair play to Steve and Maggie for pitching up in all sorts of pubs over the years.
  11. Not sure is the honest answer. I used to organise them in pubs at away games for many years. The football club did one at Preston back in the Mark Ashton era, but it seems that these have stopped. Much of the content is pushed out digitally these days and although quite insightful around the playing side of things, not so much interaction on these other off field issues. Jerry does a top job working many hours over and above. If he doesn't answer a question it is simply because there isn't one to give. It will be lost in the malaise of decision-making between Bristol Sport and the football club. The group structure is complicated and confuses things. It really does.
  12. I am on OTIB, albeit not a regular poster. I have been following the threads on O'Neills and the digital ticketing. As I have on Facebook, Twitter (X) and Instagram. During the season I regularly visit pubs and talk to people in the Supporters Bar. At away matches too. People get in touch with us directly, which is why I knew about the disabled parking issue. We did give it a good go on Friday, especially around kits. I just heard this afternoon that the away kit will be here late August/early September. It doesn't answer all of the other issues on kits. We'll go again on that one. As Phants said, let's build the relationship with Phil Alexander as we did with Richard Gould and tried to with Mark Ashton. Better to be in the room talking than outside looking in. Cheers Stu
  13. Thanks to those who have submitted responses. Much appreciated. We did try to apply all the feedback provided last time, but accept that improvements can still be made. The intention is to build a picture year on year to look for any common or persistent themes. I am painfully aware of some of the current issues being expressed around shirts, badges, ticket and coach fees, potential data breaches etc. Dates going in the diary to discuss these with the football club for both the men's and women's teams. Cheers Stu
  14. Looking for 1 Adult ticket to collect outside the ground
  15. Sorry to hear this. Condolences to his family and friends.
  16. Union fella on Breakfast TV today didn't sound that hopeful. Keeping hold of my train tickets just in case though as you never know!
  17. I was given the option for Blackpool tickets to be posted or collected.
  18. Not trusting the train, so driving up early doors and staying overnight.
  19. Bumped in to him outside a pub in Rotherham a few years back. The lads on his coach had decamped early for a more discreet entry, leaving him to arrive on his own on an otherwise empty coach. So we went for a pint. They only had Strongbow (or Wrongbow as he called it). So Stoney was topping it up with cans of the good stuff that he had secreted in the inside pockets of his overcoat, like a dodgy watch salesman. A great character who would always say hello and stop for a chat. He will be missed by many I am sure.
  20. Thanks everyone for feeding back on this, Agreed, it isn't perfect, but we can use the learning for future years. Good points about geography, including questions relating to older fans, the disabled and stewarding. I guess we were a bit conscious of how long it was getting. And yes, it did take a long time to compile! Cheers
  21. Thanks for all your feedback and comments. The opening paragraph in the survey now makes it clearer that you can skip questions or whole sections. Average completion time is 11 minutes. Cheers
  22. We were heading across from Nottingham, but most of the trains were part bus replacement services anyway. I suppose there is a small chance those buses might still run, but it's risky. Looks like we will be staying in Hull for the weekend.
  23. You are right about the website, although it does not mean we have not been busy. We are very active, most activity relayed through social media these days. Heavily involved in the delivery of the Ashton Gate 8 events, recently signed an MOU with the Football Club for the men and women's game, talking to the football club about the fan-led review proposals and what it means for Bristol City, currently running the vote for the end of season awards, and plenty more. We have not been asked yet about season ticket prices. Cheers, Stu
  24. Gave it a good go, given what we had to work with on the pitch......
