"As a suffering Gashead this season it's nice to cheer and read this news,(never mind Steve)"
This is a quote from a saghead on the EP comments section relating to the £20 million loss........just about sums up the mentality of these morons. The only pleasure they get is cheering in the misfortune of others completely ignoring two facts........
Yep exactly. The 'never mind Steve' is great. I bet he's sat at home absolutely gutted with his £1bn+ worth!

Walsh smashing it so far. Good to see

Id rather she didn't post at all but thats just my view of course.
Well we can agree to disagree then. I don't see any harm in what she does and if anything it provides us some more insight which we otherwise wouldn't have had. I'm not going to throw my toys out of the pram just because she gave a bit of support to the blue few, as part of her job.

Why don't you shove your gas sentiments somewhere dark and cold, I think you are on the wrong forum ffs!
copper shows gas colours on city forum shock!

She has to at least act impartial in the interests of professionalism in her role. She has said she's a City fan, she's just doing her job... I'd much rather she posts here and provides the information while being fair to both clubs, than not posting at all because of her personal football club preferences.

What you have described is exactly a rumour and how they spread
Unless, of course, it is true.
I think we're all aware of what a rumour is and how they work mate.

Not being funny, but it is very easy to start a rumor social media etc, someone passes it along as fact and on and on, suddenly the story is taken as fact
Or in the case of the blue few, it's known as Bull shit !
Absolutely, that's why I caveated my initial post a few days back heavily! I actually heard the same, but without that mad £250m figure, a different location and a particular Rovers-related figure as part of the team. But as you say, massive chance it's absolute bollocks.

Wael will be gone in 5-6 weeks but retain 10%
Consortium headed by Jersey business man will take over pumping £250m in over 5 years
Training will happen at the new 4G pitches next to M32
Memorial stadium and Filton plot will be exchanged in land deal with UWE and UWE stadium will be builtIn all fairness, if you ignore the £250m figure, and I mean completely ignore it, this is not too dissimilar to what I was told was happening a week or two ago. Interesting.

Henbury Gash?
Would fit in with the information potentially being absolute bollocks I suppose!

Initials please.
It would be infinitely hilarious if Steve Lansdown is somehow a part of this.
Oh absolutely not Steve Lansdown, I don't think that would even be legal. He's on the Rovers side, bald, looks like an alien.
Could be absolute bollocks mind you.
-
In non-banter-related news, I've genuinely heard a whisper that the UWE is back on and a very familiar face will be coming in as part of a potential takeover/investment/whatever you want to call it.
Intrigued to hear if anyone else has heard the same.

6,553 days since Rovers were last above City.
6,842 days between that date and our downfall in 1982.Still struggling to work out the mistake here?

It’s not long until ‘the gap’ is bigger than the time between Rovers last being above us and our near-insolvency in 1982.
And to think of all that we’ve achieved since then and all that the sags have failed with.

Oh Miah , you’ve walked straight into that one.
In fairness he's probably telling the truth in this instance, he's a pretty fair poster. Still funny though

What was said above is 100% true. If we take banter aside temporarily, I will give credit where it is due. Darrell Clarke is the one bit of genuine sporting talent at the club. If they're daft enough to sack him then they are going straight down, and it will be hilarious.

The contracts don't really work like that though. They say it's a 2, 3, 5 year contract but they will have release clauses in them for either party which would be maybe a years salary compensation if the manager is sacked or they leave for another club. TBH even the Cheltenham job though a league lower would be better long term prospect than Rovers currently.
Oh absolutely. But point still stands, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they literally cannot afford to sack him
-

Seriously, how much would you think DC's salary would be?
Naff all. But they haven't got a pot to p*ss in.
Even if he was on just 1k a week, that's over £200k left over his contract. I know it's not quite how it works but when they have no money it's not exactly an option they have.

He will stay there until sacked, I am not sure if he's afraid or just has zero ambition, but being at Rovers with no money and a plethora of valid excuses seems to suit him fine.
I disagree to be honest. He won't get sacked because they can't afford to sack him. Only reason he hasn't gone is because he hasn't had any serious offers yet in my opinion, except for Leeds which I don't blame him at all for dodging.

P*ss taking aside, they do have a pretty decent manager, and the second Darrell Clarke goes, they are absolutely fooked.
He is the one part of that club which cannot leave, and given he is clearly frustrated and not being backed, if the right club comes along he is going to be off.
Yet another potential bit of hilarity to go alongside the looming financial implosion which could occur this season.

Even their bloody official account is BS'ing!
1,750 fans? Well we know that top tier holds 1,800, and even in their own pictures there it looks about half full.
In fact if you look at our away lot here there looks like there is more of us!
-
So the biggest club on the planet only just took more fans than us? Despite the fact that it was their cup final, tickets were less than half the price (in some cases) and it wasn't on TV. Unbelievable.

And with that, the comedown... Korey Smith confirmed as being out for 5-6 months. Longer than I'd thought

The points and result tonight will help us undoubtedly and there were some positive individual performances
But we will need it to kick start us in confidence terms
Because playing like that we won’t be winning too many games
A very welcome and maybe vital 3 points , but Lets see how we react from here
Maybe I'm high on a victory but I actually agree with BBSB
First half was dreadful, second half much better but I think it was more that QPR were abysmal rather than us outplaying them. 3-0 still flatters us a bit, but it was a vital win, no matter how you get it. We certainly won't be pushing play-offs on that performance put it that way.
