  1. I'll own up. My mate who is a City fan joined their site to do an experiment and see if they could get away with being a fair minded City fan on there. He got accused of being a Ted and subsequently banned- not only are we the best team in Bristol but the most tolerant and all. Took them sometime to twig mind.
  2. Could be someone who is bored on a bit of a fishing mission maybe. They seem to be getting a few nibbles whether they have intent or not.
  3. From memory, the threats were to Taylor from their fans which meant Taylor had to move house. Never any threats against LJ to the best of my knowledge- he probably had a lot of abuse online, but threats to make him move? Fake News.
  4. This now means we should- if it's across the board- reduce our away capacity to 10% or even 2k. Is this a new rule now??
  5. Thread must have been removed- anyway they're so touchy on there it seems. You get mentioned on there periodically.
  6. Porta-loo and standing on the steps it is! I see a new fan has triggered some of them- seem to jump on a poster as if they're 'They Gurt Teds'. http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/13037/bristol-rivalry

If, like me, you sit in one of these stands you may be moved on Saturday. It gets better!
  8. Bristol Rovers- the joke that keeps on giving.
  9. Ah you're not wrong there @Swede . Truthfully, laughing at Rovers? Like fish in a barrel in most instances, we're so far ahead there's little point- but this is a very good exception!
  10. It is true isn't it- cheaper trains would obviously encourage more fans to travel- whether it's financially feasible, I don't know but they definitely would.
  11. They are going at over 4 an over so couldn't rule anything out! Yeah, the threshold seems pretty high this year - in Div 2 as well, both Kent and Warwickshire after 13 games had 219 points and are basically playing for the title against each other last game- looks highly likely to go to Warwickshire. Somerset appear to have become a bit of a 'nearly' team in the 4 day game last decade- I remember watching from afar (and tbh happy for them to win Championship because it's good for sport in region etc- definitely not a courtesy I apply to Bristol Rovers Swindon ).
  12. I'm a Gloucs fan so looking in from the outside- and up enviously. However, 2nd place for you seems about right tbh- Surrey unbeaten. maybe not now in a dead rubber but batting well looking to keep their unbeaten record IMO (they're 205/1 2nd time around)- and the 2 games between the top 2, Surrey were comprehensively better- especially the first. As for us, looks like we could well win our final game. Next season in 2019, 3 going up gives us a chance- which means the chance in the 2020 cricket season for West Country derbies in the 4 day game!
  13. Pretty sure their (utterly hilarious) descent began or at least coincided with them giving Lennie Lawrence the old heave ho. Pretty sure I wore a City shirt to work on the Monday after they slipped out the League- for the benefit of their fans who I worked with! If they sack DC they can 'go again', repeat the slump/journey and give us much mirth once more!
  14. Would advise caution about labelling people liars or worse online, on an open forum at that- Henbury Gas appears to have got himself into quite a mess, but online defamatory laws are increasingly stringent, yet not so well know about. Do what you want, just putting it out there.
  15. Just to clarify, on reflection my use of the term 'stirring the pot' may have been an injudicious use of words by me. Happy to call it an 'interesting' take- couldn't edit it because edit facility seems to run out fairly quickly on here.
  16. Hello, some of this is interesting- or inflammatory potentially? Our old friend Henbury Gas stirring the pot again eh?? It must have felt really strange for the poor souls to not be allowed to do exactly what they wanted by the Police. After all, they are accustomed to A&S Police doing **** all to stop them and even going so far as to have a servicing police officer on their forum who often seems to fail to bring their fans to order. Strange that 8 of the 10 were issued with dispersal orders if they were all so innocent. And as for a breach of human rights, that clearly doesn't apply to shitheads cos they are all sub human. If PC Julie really is 'servicing' them over on OTIB then I think it's probably reasonable to suggest that her judgement is more than a little impaired! Her credibility obviously doesn't come into it because she didn't have any to start with. Not sure if she is still in post as she told me at our last meeting that she was retiring from the Police Force. The Other PC liaison officer PC Mark Thomas, who is assigned to the Rovers will be joined by another officer. I wish her well in her retirement, maybe she could reply to my e-mail some time soon "Dyslexia is not a pigeonhole to say you can’t do anything. 17. Blue and White Quartered Buffoons. In our shadow now and forever... (Wonder if I'll be page 800)
  18. It's an interesting balancing act- we have to often face flat pitches abroad and it can prep them for that!
  19. Fancy messing that one up... Surrey's title now surely- even if not quite mathematically yet!
  20. Fair chance at their ground (Rovers not Nazis!) you'll be stood/sat especially as a newbie, behind more than a few planks too!
  21. Outstanding result! Would have gladly taken a point at 3pm, but winning away to a side who let's not forget unbeaten and who won at Bramall Lane and drew with a Leeds side who look excellent so far. Wonder who the top scorer is now...might it be Weimann? What a difference a week makes though, blimey!
  22. To say nothing of injuries/bans to key players from last season. Combine the 2 and it's not quite a new squad I think, but a big turnaround all the same.
  23. Good win- albeit away to a very poor side who seem to have badly regressed on last season. However Weimann is doing great, very happy for Taylor getting a goal there, of course winning at a ground we haven't gone to and win at since 1970 odd has to be a bit alright? Still much to do, much to improve on- but this will undoubtedly boost confidence. The team and LJ did what was necessary, at a time like this especially. They made sure we found a way to win.
