They are going at over 4 an over so couldn't rule anything out! Yeah, the threshold seems pretty high this year - in Div 2 as well, both Kent and Warwickshire after 13 games had 219 points and are basically playing for the title against each other last game- looks highly likely to go to Warwickshire. Somerset appear to have become a bit of a 'nearly' team in the 4 day game last decade- I remember watching from afar (and tbh happy for them to win Championship because it's good for sport in region etc- definitely not a courtesy I apply to Bristol Rovers Swindon ).

I'm a Gloucs fan so looking in from the outside- and up enviously. However, 2nd place for you seems about right tbh- Surrey unbeaten. maybe not now in a dead rubber but batting well looking to keep their unbeaten record IMO (they're 205/1 2nd time around)- and the 2 games between the top 2, Surrey were comprehensively better- especially the first. As for us, looks like we could well win our final game. Next season in 2019, 3 going up gives us a chance- which means the chance in the 2020 cricket season for West Country derbies in the 4 day game!

Pretty sure their (utterly hilarious) descent began or at least coincided with them giving Lennie Lawrence the old heave ho. Pretty sure I wore a City shirt to work on the Monday after they slipped out the League- for the benefit of their fans who I worked with! Would advise caution about labelling people liars or worse online, on an open forum at that- Henbury Gas appears to have got himself into quite a mess, but online defamatory laws are increasingly stringent, yet not so well know about. Do what you want, just putting it out there.

Good win- albeit away to a very poor side who seem to have badly regressed on last season. However Weimann is doing great, very happy for Taylor getting a goal there, of course winning at a ground we haven't gone to and win at since 1970 odd has to be a bit alright? Still much to do, much to improve on- but this will undoubtedly boost confidence. The team and LJ did what was necessary, at a time like this especially. They made sure we found a way to win.

The team who have made 2nd least per game? Middlesborough, with 13. Rather more worryingly though, we have also made 2nd least interceptions. I always took the view that if you don't tackle so much you press and intercept in key areas a lot more to compensate, but 6.7 of those per game, when combined with the tackles- is not good at all!

A battle, a draw likely IMO- can't see it being a great watch either. Let's hope nobody's got any freak injuries today to add to our current list...

I am of the view that we won't go down... QPR look very weak so far. Bolton are a surprise package after 3 games but I'd be surprised if they can keep it up. Rotherham will struggle clearly, Ipswich may miss McCarthy more than they think. Sheffield Wednesday and Hull don't look fantastic, Birmingham with several senior players frozen out won't be brilliant. Norwich could be surprise strugglers (think they'll be mid table however). Reading will surely stay up but 3 losses in 3 is it. Not grounds for optimism in terms of a strong season, but grounds perhaps to believe we can reach midtable or lower midtable.

You'd hope one goes in..woodwork twice, their keeper tipper over also. I thought we deserved at least one goal for our 2nd half efforts...but at the same time also think Middlesbrough played within themselves 2nd half. Like a rather negative version of Brighton in November 2016. They went in 2 up at half time then kept their shape etc, like today. Agree that clearcut chances are hard to define.
