  1. I’ve got Bristol city at heart too but it doesn’t make me Pep Guardiola. Russel Osman gave us an away win at Liverpool. Joe Jordan got us a goalpost away from a league cup final.
  2. One day he’ll “achieve” something. And he will. Then he’ll go onto “bigger and better things” and be found wanting again.
  3. Yep. Absolute horse shit from a waffler. Celtic and Rangers would survive and eventually flourish in the championship by force of personality. The rest of them forget it.
  4. Apologies. Reading back My reply seems curt. But the premise stands: Derby will survive and will flourish in one form or other. There won’t be overly adverse effects to their ongoing kerfuffle. Too big to fail, unfortunately. If they go, there’s a precedent.
  5. You, and many on this thread don’t get it - Derby ain’t gonna be liquidated or suffer any other severe financial or operational consequences. They’ll survive. They’ll be ok. Wishful thinking and waiting for the EFL to cut them adrift isn’t gonna do anything. They’ll get promoted next season.
  6. Not gonna happen. Deserved, yes. But won’t happen. Any talk of it is fantasy.
  7. Mike Ashley will ride in and rescue them.
  8. Which is the mindset that saw them relegated to the conference. Wally is not the messiah and neither is Saint Barton. Legends in their own lunchtime.
  9. I think it’s realism more than pessimism. We aren’t going to turn into world beaters overnight. And many recognise that. I’m as happy with a committed squad of fighters as I am with ‘names’ even if the results are wildly different.
  10. I’d be more than happy with that.
  11. Let’s not get carried away. Loooong way to go yet. We’re still shopping in Poundland for bargains and there’s plenty in this division who can nip to Fortnum and Mason when they fancy something a bit special. But let me add, if going cheap gets us team spirit and a collectiveness I’m happy with that.
  12. Sunderland have sold over 28,000 ?
  13. Huddersfield today I think. Forest a bit too cock sure of themselves -like this is destiny - and I'd love to see them get brought back down to earth.
  14. Quite. No one should belittle Forests achievements. They’ve been quite successful in the grand scheme of things. I think people would be surprised just how big their fan base and potential fan base is.
  15. I would say Wycombe but I’m still humbled by them turning us over and our pathetic effort at their place. Stuff of nightmares. So they can go whistle. Sunderland purely because they’ve got ideas above their station and it will be nice to see them fall flat on their faces.
  16. Yep. Them and Burnley wont pick up another point between them IMO.
  17. He’ll lead the lemmings in a “city we’re coming for you”, cry, I expect some “sleeping giants” talk and they’ll be even bigger insufferable pricks than they normally are.
  18. Fair play to them. The thing that will grate me is Barton won’t be humble about Coming third in league two. He’s gonna be an ass about it. And we will get mentioned - trust me.
  19. Deary me. How are those prawn sandwiches?
  20. Quite. Hardest league to get out of I’d say. Some big teams down there.
