  1. He was involved with us during Lee Johnson's time: https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/lee-johnsons-secret-weapon-who-2161690
  2. Kieran Maguire report that Southampton's loan from MSD is at 9.14%: https://twitter.com/KieranMaguire/status/1349066890069635072 Perhaps that can be expected to be higher for a Championship club which might be seen as slightly less financially secure without Premier League TV rights (or the security of parachute payments) behind it.
  3. They had a pre-season friendly with various measures in place so maybe that counts as their test run?
  4. The issue has just been raised in the Commons and condemned by the Speaker for it being available before the official statement to the House.
  5. Or it's been disabled because it's not yet been formally announced?
  6. It's in the Government's winter plan (paragraph 58e - page 31 of the PDF below, shows as page 27 in the top right corner of the page): "The government will also introduce spectator capacity limits for sports stadia, business events and live performances in tiers where these are permitted. These limits will vary depending on whether the event is held indoors or out. At tier 1 these will be 50% capacity or 4,000 outdoors and 1,000 indoors, whichever is lower and at tier 2 these will be 50% capacity or 2,000 outdoors and 1,000 indoors, whichever is lower." https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/937529/COVID-19_Winter_Plan.pdf
  7. When a sheep is only worth marginally less than your club record signing...
  8. The new chief exec's purported LinkedIn doesn't exactly shout that they've recruited a sharp operator... ...he also appears to have started a company (C&E SPORTING MANAGEMENT LIMITED) earlier this year and he is personally a registered intermediary with the FA - that sounds like a potential conflict of interest.
  9. On the billing front... BT Sport have said "With the return of live Bundesliga, UFC and now the Premier League in June, we can confirm that as a gesture of goodwill we will also be offering customers a further bill credit to the value of 50% of their BT Sport monthly subscription."
  10. EFL update: The EFL can confirm that 1014 players and Club staff from all 24 Championship Clubs have been tested for COVID-19 over the course of the last 72 hours, with two individuals testing positive from one Club. Those players or Club staff who have tested positive will now self-isolate in line with the guidelines provided by the EFL and only those who have tested negative will be permitted to enter training ground facilities. The EFL will continue to make regular and relevant announcements as appropriate in respect of the testing programme to support competition integrity and transparency. No specific details as to Clubs or individuals will be provided by the League. https://www.efl.com/news/2020/may/efl-statement-covid-19-test-results/

  12. Worth remembering the club only own a 40% stake and the local council and rugby league team have stakes in the stadium company.
  13. It's almost like the BBL is operated on a franchise model... "Firstly, the BBL is based on franchises, similar to the US system in sport. There is no promotion and relegation between the BBL and EBL and NBL clubs cannot join the BBL based on their performances in official competition alone. However, NBL clubs and any other organisations can apply for a franchise from BBL." http://www.bbl.org.uk/faq/
  14. So looking at the Derby County stadium ownership... The freehold of DY342736 was transferred to GELLAW NEWCO 202 LIMITED (registered 19th June 2018) and registered on 30th July 2018. GELLAW NEWCO 202 LIMITED was incorporated with GELLAW NEWCO 201 LIMITED (registered 18th June 2018) holding the only share in the company. GELLAW NEWCO 201 appointed its liquidators 10 days after its incorporation in a members voluntary liquidation on 28th June 2018. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck...
  15. That was in the days of "emergency" 93 day loans. Loans must now begin and end during a transfer window.
  16. All started with a throw-in from the magician that is Adam Matthews. What a guy.
  17. Thread on Villa's accounts (which only tell part of the picture...)
  18. From the planning application... both are 50sqm (10m x 5m).
  19. Ooooh. A big screen update. "The club purchased the new 30sqm screen in July last year from Stadia Solutions, a leading international sports and entertainment agency that specialises in fully managed technology and media platforms". It's obviously been sabotaged by one of them 'teds...
