The Lansdowns will know full well the fans were overwhelmingly behind Nige but they clearly don't give a shit about us or what we think.

The players would have enormous respect and trust in Nige and no doubt they are gutted too - it's back to square one with an inferior yes man and very likely downhill from here.

    Disgusting decision, absolutely furious.

Totally agree Lansdown has stopped talking to the fans for a long time now. How disrespectful is that.

  2. How the hell does John Lansdown expect us to win promotion when they sell our best player and the money disappears plus 12 injuries. They haven't backed him to achieve promotion.

This is all down to the owner the board and bristol sport. Something is corrupt there.

  3. I just found out what has happened. I am feeling very angry and physically sick by the decision from the club. My son said to me the hierarchy of the club do not care about the fan base opinion whatsoever.

  4. What happened to the promises from the club when we were to return to the old east end? Which is that the south stand would have standing along the back or front and the fans decided that the back would be the best option. I think the club agreed to this but they have done nothing.

Also we're 1 and a half thousand fans down from the old east end and those fans have either gone to other stands or given up entirely. This club seems to give us false hope. The south stand is supposed to be our home end and always should be but I just feel like the club can't be bothered and are making Ashton gate a home game for the away teams which is making me extremely angry about it. Ashton gate should be a fortress for the loyal supporters.

  5. I wanna know who drank all the rascal before half time at the wedlock bar? I asked for 3 pints and was told it was sold out and had to have gold instead, I'm a thirsty bloke! Mind I did have to queue up for 10 minutes which I was not happy about. He then walked off and started chatting to one of the other young lands so I had to call him back to remind him to give me some drinks. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt seeming it was the first game. We hope it really improves next home game.

As for the food at the ground I just don't bother it's overpriced and crap. The donut stand sounds terrible. I always love the clarks pies they are delicious. I asked the owner why he didn't sell them at the ground and he said they tried but got turned down. I thought how weird is that not using your local business.

  6. We just picked up 4 points over the easter period and to be honest I didn't expect any from either game. I would say that is very positive in my book. I haven't made a comment on this forum for a couple years now because of the negativity. I thought I'd have a quick look this morning hoping to find some positive comments about the game but no. It drives me away from here but not from my club.

  7. My condolences to his family and friends.

I was out for a drink tonight with my son when we were told about the sad news by a fellow city supporter. I am still in shock about it. One of the greatest characters at ashton gate you'd ever wish to meet. Met stoney on many away trips. He was absolutely hilarious when he was cracking his jokes on the train up wherever we were going. One of the nicest blokes you'd meet and will be truly missed by all of us but never forgotten.

Could we make flag day in honour of stoney?

    Rest in peace

Disappointed by clubs response at game today. I only saw a brief flash of Ukrainian colours on the big screen and that's it?

    Shameful

Totally agree with you. It was shameful by the club and fans. I thought more effort would have gone into todays game. I let it know to the east end boys I was unhappy about it. You gotta think about the families that are being murdered by the russians. We need to make a better effort and stand up to this evil.

We can all agree 2020 has been a year like no other any of us have experienced before, and with that has brought many added pressures to people at a time of year where suicide rates increase.

Please, if you feel alone or are struggling, try to talk to someone. Life might not always feel like living and you may feel like you are at rock bottom, but the world is a much better place with you in it.

Personally this site really helps me, I have really low and negative days but keeping in touch with the Bristol City family is a massive thing.

If anyone ever feels alone, please reach out.

You can message me, or one of the many other supportive posters on here, or even talk to someone.

I won't divulge personal information but I can't thank those people enough that have picked up when I've been struggling and taken the time to message me.

We come from all backgrounds, beliefs, age groups and football teams etc, but I believe everyone on here would look out for a friend in need.

A few of the Bristol City social media accounts shared the below today.

Hopefully it'll also appear on the official website too.

I find it a bit odd that the club were not already in contact, but maybe they didn't want to risk people changing their minds either way?

A few guys I know are West Ham season ticket holders, they were asked before this season started whether they would be interested in being put into a ballot for tickets, and if they won who their "bubble" would include

I think they should say If you do not want to be in the ballot then you cannot re enter if you change your mind. I made my mind up and will stick to it. Would make it fair for those who comitted to going back from the start.

  11. I think the club should do a survey now to season ticket holders who wants to take the risk to go back and who doesn't. Personally I won't be returning until at least march or april hoping i will have taken the vaccine by then. So I hope the club will do this pretty soon. Hoping I can carry on watching robins tv whilst getting the refund. I'm in the 50-64 age group so I have a slightly higher risk than those of a younger age according to the BBC website.

Hi there mate. Just a question. Do the flags come with eyelits in each corner so they can be tied up? If not could a piece of cord be sown to each corner for the same purpose?

Many thanks. It's just the case now of persuading the mrs that I need a new flag!
