I enjoyed the first few podcasts they did but they are dreadfully ill prepared and Jon Parkin really doesn’t have a clue about anything. Plenty better similar shows out there.

Anyway getting Root in quicker may not be such a bad thing as he looks so good.

They must have talked about it, if not Hameeds fault but Malan looked awful and wasn’t backing up at all.

Ali has only been back in the side for the last two games and has done a decent job. Very loose shot today but would still have him ahead of Leach.

It wasn’t really but I think the manner of dismissals were so tame and the scores so average across the board that they rather conveyed that message. That said the make up of the batting lineup is so new and untested that 270 wasn’t a disaster.

England are bowling and fielding superbly. Really seem to have the bit between their teeth after the rather shambolic batting effort.

England did well today considering. NZ have a decent bowling unit but it will be interesting to see how their batting is apart from Williamson. Root looked out of sorts.

England are in transition at the minute with Farbrace leaving, Ramps given the boot and Bayliss due to leave after the Ashes. Add in Cook leaving and what happened to Andrew Strauss and it’s easy to see why England’s form is temperamental.
Good to see how they still fight.

Most people who slag off Pulis, me included is not because he’s a shit manager but for many many other reasons, which I think you are probably aware of. His record shows he is a good manager.
