Rule number 1 if you're sat with home fans supporting the away team - keep quiet Rule number 2, if your team scores, see Rule number 1 It ain't rocket science Ah, my mistake

First Summer Friendly Confirmed v Aldershot Town

Good ground. Locals can be a bit hostile. They have a lot of old Chelsea boys that follow both teams and fancy themselves. Should be lively -
Sorry mate, can't listen to him. End of a bell imho

This beautiful game. This seductive mistress that draws us in, kicks us in the teeth (Preston) and then flirts with us again like this evening. I've watched City for 48 years and fallen out of love with them so many times but once again, after this evening's result I'm giddy as a lovestruck teenager. I really want Liam to succeed. I was a big Nige fan through and through and was angry and gutted when he was sacked but we HAVE to get behind the team now. The team have proved that they can play for Liam with the performances at Watford, and over 2 games versus West Ham. This squad needs quality additions and I hope that the Lansdowns start spending money as the potential is there for all to see.

City are live on national television this Tuesday - its cliché time!

Quite possibly the greatest City player I've ever seen, not having watched Atyeo. Mr 100% -
I'm Bristol City and my wife's from Glasgow so I'm a union bear too. Please don't steal our players

Talks really well about the game. Prefer his comments to the hysterics of Micah Richards and the utter drivel spoken by Don Goodman on Sky. A refreshingly subjective view on the game. Would like to see more of him on higher profile games

Bless him. Couldn't be more Bristol City if he tried. Constant references to beating Leeds in the 70's, Liverpool in the 80's, etc etc. Gotta love him for raising our profile. Lovely to hear all the old City references especially about the old East End. Proper fan- 158 replies

Spot on. The other thing that I can't understand was the statement that he wants us to 'play front foot football, have an identity and should challenge for promotion '. You can guarantee if they get good offers for Conway, Bell, Vyner etc they will be gone because for the Lansdowns, it's all about money.

Liam Manning first 5 games- hopes and expectations?
harvey54 replied to Mr Popodopolous's topic in Football Chat
I hope he doesn't last long as our manager. I expect he will -
Totally agree. I have a lot of respect for robbored but I struggle to support a manager I don't want and owners who have made unexplainable decisions and then fed us bull about why they made their decisions. The club lost me after Pearson was sacked. It was the last straw for me after years of poor decisions. SL may be a businessman but he's not a football man and continues to make decisions that prove this

For me, acceptance = Meh! Couldn't give a toss anymore. Watched Final Score yesterday and chuckled to myself when we went one down. Started losing faith after Cotts went. Chucked my season ticket in after one year of Junior. This isn't the club I started watching in 1966 and I'm aware that times change but I just can't be bothered to pay good money to be disappointed in performances and angry at owners decisions. That said, we'll probably beat the Hammers Tuesday and the world will seem a better place .

West Ham Replay: Sold Out 🎟️/Live on BBC 📺
harvey54 replied to Silvio Dante's topic in Football Chat
I remember a hole appearing in the East End crowd at a home game versus West Ham back in the old first division. In the middle was a West Ham fan. Giant of a black man with a white boiler suit and what looked like a machete in his hand. God knows how he got it in. Half a dozen old bill had to take him down. Scary -
They'll be saying if we can win there, they can

Didn't we scout Watkins when he was on loan at Weston from Exeter. Another one missed

That was the main game on MOTD that night when they only showed 2 or 3 games
