I’m not sure, but notably, they are not pitches being constructed, with a stadium around them..!
The final part of the UWE 20-20? So Steve West got his sports facilities to complete the project! Not a white patio chair or tent to be seen. Meanwhile on Friday night I nearly choked on my Thatcher whist being told that the same Steve West was still in ongoing double secret discussions with the Jordanian Billionaire. Only a matter of time I was told. Only a matter of 30 million I replied.

The facilities, close to the University's Frenchay campus, will include:
· Two floodlit artificial pitches
· FIFA approved and World Rugby compliant artificial surfaces
· Separate artificial surface warm-up area
· Undercover seating for spectators
· Pitch side dugouts
· Grass football pitch and training grids
· Changing rooms
· Parking
Alex Isaac, Head of Sport at UWE Bristol said, "We are excited to soon be opening our new facilities at Hillside Gardens. They will provide high specification pitch facilities just minutes from campus giving some of our UWE Bristol Sport teams a new home. With teams, players and supporters able to be together at one venue we are hoping to create a great atmosphere and improved experience for students."

Seeing as HP said the land can’t or won’t be sold I find this one very hard to believe
UWE seem to be quietly putting pitches and sports facilities in Frenchay Road opposite the driving range. Surely they don't need more.

Is that Lee Nelson?
No it's Charlie Brooker.
Formally employed by the BBC to satirise the state of the country in his topical series Screen Wipe, he now feels he is in a position to advise the Gas on not being "the gift that keeps giving" any more. Good luck with that Charlie!

'We will look try close that gap a little bit.'
"So I’m really looking forward to hopefully meeting them on the pitch, off the pitch and there’s no reason why we can’t meet with them directly – we will look to try close that gap a little bit.”
Fixed that!
