  1. Not very excited by this at all, I hope I’m wrong, but feel this is a strange time to make such a huge change. If they’d waited until the summer I could of understood it, but feel this is going to be a disaster doing it mid season.
  2. I always found RB having Brookman at the sags, and Adam Baker for us a while back as summarisers extremely strange. Neither of them former players, and with no more knowledge of Football than the average fan. The good thing for us now is that we’ve got Gary Owers and Chris Honor summarising are games.
  3. Yep, he’s talking utter bollocks, the players we’ve got are suited to counter attacking football. Last season, particularly after Christmas when Alex Scott really came into his own we were much better in possession, but without him we don’t really have much creativity in midfield. He talked about the pace in the team, that’s not much good when trying to break a team down when you’re chasing the game, that’s where you need someone who can play that killer pass, and we don’t have anyone capable of that at the moment. There should have been a creative midfielder lined up to come in, it was blatantly obvious AS was going to be off, and as Tins is in charge of recruitment, then he’s culpable.
  4. I’ve lost a huge amount of respect for him after watching that interview.
  5. Keeps the property prices down no doubt!
  6. It was a fortnight ago, and from what I heard his Q&A lasted a whole 15 minutes! Apparently agreed to go on the podcast Bears Beyond The Gate in the new year!
  7. My apologies, I was lazy and only read the bit about his grammar!
  8. And his voice is akin to somebody scraping their nails down a blackboard!
  9. A timely reminder that however pissed off we are with the way our clubs run, at least we’re not them!
  10. Is anyone surprised that none of them are fronting up? The only chance of hearing from anyone at the club will be via a soft interview on Robins TV/the official YouTube account. Spineless bastards.
  11. I really hope Nige goes on to write an autobiography, aside from revealing all about the shitshow here, he’s worked with some huge names in the game, Big Ron, Trevor Francis and Bryan Robson to name a few. It’ll make for a fascinating read.
  12. With the greatest of respect, his spelling and grammar don’t affect his knowledge of football. Now whether he’s been moved up to a level that doesn’t suit him is another matter. For me he’s much more valuable running the academy, indeed I wonder if his promotions over the last few years have been due to him being linked elsewhere, and SL’s promoted him to keep him at the club. I’m still seething about Nigel leaving, but am now concerned about who’ll be coming into replace him, and whether they’ll be getting a feee hand to do the job their way.
  13. Ran out of likes, so consider this reply a like!
  14. I agree that there’s little chance of him being on the radio tomorrow night, but I don’t think he’ll go quietly into the night like his predecessors have. I feel he’ll give his side of things, sooner or later.
  15. I’d love them to get Nige on, I’d love for him to give his take on the Lansdown’s and the way the clubs being run.
  16. That’s the legacy of having one man at the top of the club for over 20 years, we’ve become absolutely dependent on him that his power is absolute.
  17. Do you really believe that this decision isn’t just SL’s alone?
  18. This is not BT’s fault in any shape or form that I can see. Nige always spoke well about him in interviews and it seemed like they had a good relationship.
  19. Not going is not an option for me, I’ve already paid for my season ticket, so it doesn’t matter to the club if I go or not. Secondly, I support Bristol City, I don’t support SL, JL & co, there’ll be 11 men taking the field trying to get us 3 points, this farcical situation isn’t their fault and they need our support.
  20. Steve Lansdown’s phone later, blocking all the people on Twitter who say anything he doesn’t like! I’m already blocked!
  21. An absolute joke, I dread to think who’ll they’ll try and bring in. Someone who’s good for SL’s ego, not Bristol City Football Club no doubt.
  22. Started like an old banger on a frosty morning here.
  23. Waiting for the draw to be made, then will start booking the flights and accommodation.
  24. Gloucestershire face significant objections to the redevelopment of the County Ground. The intention was to redevelop the ground to a permanent capacity of 20,000 seats. Suffice to say the nimbys objected and the plans were revised to 7,500 permanent seats and a maximum capacity of 17,500 with temporary seating. I remember this bringing about talk of Gloucestershire moving up to Gloucester, or a new ground being built up at Filton Airfield. In the end, they’ve stayed put in facilities that are a shadow of what they could of been.
