  1. Being serious, Eddie Howe would be superb as England manager, I don’t think he’ll be available the next time it comes up. I reckon Graham Potter would be a good fit. His spell at Chelsea was a disaster but he did an outstanding job at Brighton before that.
  2. Is it me, or has the presentation on Sky Sports really gone to the dogs?
  3. I remember going to the last game of the season there in 2006, it was Shaun Goatees final game and there was a neutral end of Man City fans in to see him off.
  4. I went there for City v Stoke in 2000, I was delighted that we’d got to Wembley as it closed six months after. Yes it was dilapidated, but there was still something magical about it. I remember thing how we were behind the goal where Geoff Hurst scored the fourth goal in the 1966 World Cup final. Maybe a new national stadium should have been built in the midlands and Wembley renovated and used like the Olympic Stadium in Munich is? For me the arch at the new Wembley is no where near as iconic as the twin towers were.
  5. Cracking away day, I thought defensively we were superb, work rate and effort top notch all over the park was faultless. Clumsy by Naismith for the penalty, maybe he should have just looked to of jockeyed him. Only gripe is we were poor on the ball and gave it back to them a little too easily at times, and that we weren’t perhaps as positive as we could of been with the few chances we did have. I also think our lack of a frontman who can hold the ball up showed up yesterday, such a striker would have certainly caused them more of a headache. Superb atmosphere from our fans, certainly felt that we were loud and positive all game despite being on the back foot for nearly all of it. I really liked Nige’s comments post match about how he’s trying to build something here, we’ve come on leaps and bounds since he replaced Holden, there’s a great togetherness in the squad, I just feel we’re one or two players away from being play off contenders.
  6. I went to that game, I’ve never seen so many people get arrested inside the ground. I was only a nipper in the late 80’s so didn’t understand why at the time.
  7. The days of updates, when you felt your heart stop when they’d interrupt the music to say there’d been a goal!
  8. Really hoping for a win tonight, does no one else remember all the pop bollocks they gave us in 2004? Then a load of the mongs stopping at the Gate early one morning with a D2 champions banner? Straight into them tonight boys.
  9. Just out of interest, has SL been to any of the home games this season?
  10. It’s 5, Genge, Sinckler and Mallins for England. Luatua and Vui for Samoa.
  11. If that’s the case, then surely he’d stay in post until any such deal is completed?
  12. Didn’t the Constabulary pay him a visit?
  13. Mr Lying, Jackanory C J Computing? To be fair one them on Sagchat just told him he was full of shit!

  15. It seems an opportune time to bring this back out!
  16. Something tells me that when Nige does leave us, he won’t be quiet like his predecessors have. I think he’ll have plenty to say about the way the club is run.
  17. Makes em into shapes and eats them everyday!

  19. All pretty much spot on imho, the only point that’s debatable is how much better Cotts would of done in that first season back up if he’d been successful in bringing in Harry Maguire and his other targets. But that’s a matter of conjecture, as we’ll never know for sure what really happened that summer.
  20. Collecting mine at the WBA game. I’ll be driving up, I’ve pre booked a space at the NPC car park on Welford Road.
  21. That the 0-0 where they battered us and we missed two sitters? I was at that game too!
