Philip Belgrave
Can any Melbourne-residing City fan recommend a Pub/venue in the CBD or inner suburbs, with a convivial atmosphere ,likely to be showing THE game on Saturday. Living out in the boonies in Belgrave, I feel a bit isolated and it will good to have company.

Looks like I'll be 'watching' it via the BBC website and downloading it later on Sunday.

Certainly next year when city triumph in the premier League AND win the FA cup (Well- I can dream can't I ?) we must do something about it. goldengraham
Probs a bit late but when i was living in Melbourne i used to go to the Charles Dickens to watch the late games. I met a couple of guys from Knowle while watching the sheffield wednesday game earlier in the season. Although as its the Scottish Cup final at the same time make sure you find somewhere with plenty of screens. Theres always Crown as a last resort! fred_the_red
Sounds like a plan - perhaps they may tour here, play the Victory at the G in celebration of winning the Premier League!? :noexpression:

Thanks for that - where's the Charles Dickens, Collins St? Didn't think of the Crown .
Wilksi
The crown plaza sports bar will more than likely definetly be showing the game. And the Quiet Irishman in Flemington will possible be showing it, worth a phone cal. http://www.thequietman.com.au/ The elephant and wheelbarrow in Frankston is an "english" pub so they might show it as well. The sports book/bar at Crown is the best bet I reckon...

Forst_red_Melbourne
I've always had problems watching football in the Casino.. It's fine if you want to watch AFL or cricket but one time I was in there with a couple of mates trying to watch an england game and they wouldnt put it on for fear of attracting 'english hooligans'! We did however find a good guy who put it on one small screen in the very bottom of the casino as long as we didnt make too much noise.
