CiderEagle Posted May 21, 2008 Report Share Posted May 21, 2008 Thanks to everyone who replied to my semi-final Bridgwater post, now I have a similar request regarding Saturday on behalf of the other daughter, who has an exam on the Saturday morning (when did universities start doing that anyway? Its not as if they have loads of exams to fit in) and needs to find somewhere to repair afterwards to watch out glorious victory / drown her sorrows ? All replies and suggestions appreciated. I would try The Hole in the Wall or The Tower Inn as a first port of call. If they're no good then you've always got the Hogshead or Walkabout. I have very good memories of The Hogs Head - spent a very happy hour in there once when on a shopping trip with Mrs CiderEagle, Cidergal and Daughter No 1, all of whom needed bras in M&S ... kind of lost the will to live until Mrs Cidereagle gave me permission to go to the pub for an hour. Watched Liverpool on the telly in the company of quite a few other blokes who were laden with shopping and had that haunted look about them. You young 'uns don't know what I'm talking about.
