Guest DanC
I heard a rumour yesterday that the S&C is to be knocked down and turned into flats, Like the Wedlocks is. Can anyone confirm or put this rumour to bed? Anyone know what is happening to it? I have really missed the S&C this season and to see it be knocked down would be a huge blow. The S&C is in a ideal location for when the new ground is built so losing it could mean we have no home pubs for the new stadium.
bh_red
I'd be VERY surpised, especially due to the new ground,

Drew Peacock
I don't think anyone will be building flats at the moment. I bet no work starts on The Star (Wedlocks) for a while.

It won't till someone buys it, all the current owner wanted to do was get Planning Consent and then sell on with it. Given the current financial situation he might have got his fingers burnt. Ah well...
