andy234
These are the ratings from the Sun today, what game were they watching. and the short descriptions are well out of order Adriano Basso 6. well beaten for the goal Bradley Orr 6. week link for city Louis Carey 6. skipper gave his all Jamie McAllister 5. well off the pace Liam Fontane 5. lost Windass for goal David Nobile 5.; lost composure after city went behind Nick Carle 5. way below his best Michael McIndoe 5. hard work, no results Marvin Elliott 5. usually full of energy but looks lethargic Lee Trundle 5. failed on the big stage Dele Adebola 5. never turned up Cant be bothered to type the Hull rating, lets just say they all had 7 & 8s. What a load of utter rubbish.city:
BCFC_Dan
Surely that just shows that they think our players can play much better than they did on Saturday? I'm inclined to agree. Can't fault them for effort but we all know they can do better. It's a bit harsh to call Bradley a "weak link" when he was suffering from concussion though. Chappers
Mail marks were little better, Carey 5, Adebola 4, and we were 'comprehensively outplayed'. Apparently. Mirror was more complimentary, but an 8 for Carle, 7 for Johnson and Sproule, but only 5 for McIndoe? Adebolas marks have ranged from 4 to 8, presumably dependent on whether nuisance value or actual end product are the criteria! I think the journalists were as cidered up as certain City fans! What a load of utter rubbish.city: There's no denying that is quality reporting. -Equal Possession. -City created double the amount of chances Hull created. -One Hull player scores a wondergoal. Sounds good enough reason to award all Hull players 2 points extra per man to me. Imagine what they'd have given us & Hull had Hull actually created the same amount of chances as us! Chappers
I have given up trying to fathom out so-called sports journalists as they are lazy ba**ards when covering League football. Years ago, Forbes Phillipson-Masters was rated by the People at Phillipson 7, Masters 8! Still, who cares what lazy half-cut journalists think? The Sun is full of lies, and the Mail is just a nasty Tory rag!

The Sun is full of lies, and the Mail is just a nasty Tory rag! Spot on. Not sure if it's still there, but apparently, for years, The Sun used to have a sign on the wall in their editorial office saying something like: 'Make it short, make it interesting, make it up.' Sums them up, really.

Alex_BCFC
Nick Carle was our MOM I reckon so why he got a 5 I'll never know. The only player that should have stood out for either side in a close game was Windass as he scored a great goal.
Red Ferret
The Sun is a comic, not a proper news report don't take it too seriously - they probably didn't even watch the game

kamikazee
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ext/6276013.stm Apart from the obvious over rate for the only goal scorer who couldn't last the whole match to do detriment to this score, looks pretty even so at least one semi accurate set of ratings
