Apparently...

Harriet Harman has defended plans to make it legal for firms to discriminate in favour of female and ethnic minorities job candidates.

which is odd considering she later says

Everybody should be treated as individuals and not just discriminated against across the board because of their age.

So, hypothetically I could lose out on a job because legally employers will be allowed to discriminate against me on the basis of my skin colour and sex.

It seems our "inclusive" society is more inclusive for some.

Who can honestly say that this proposal is fair? I'd be amazed if the final paper is anythink like this. I suspect her boss will be less than happy with her timing either, as I'm pretty sure this will piss off yet more people.

All Trades Unionists should lobby their Union leadership to stop funding the sham that is the elitist public school and Oxbridge educated New Labour lawyer leadership. Harriet Harman QC is a lawyer and thus a member of the Toff Labour elite responsible for this country's hopelessly corrupt criminal justice system that is widely regarded as the most corrupt in Western Europe. :icecream:

I also like how the new legislation appears to make the minimum wage illegal due to the age discrimination in it, but apparently that's not included...

Positive discrimination is an oxymoron.

More importantly, is Harriet Harman a witch and should she burn?.....

Toff cow Harriet Harman's Dislike of Fathers and the Family Unit:

In 1990 Harman co-authored a report entitled "The Family Way". It criticised the family unit and mothers who stay at home. In particular it questioned whether men were an asset to families at all and whether "the presence of fathers in families is necessarily a means to social harmony and cohesion". Critics such as Erin Pizzey described such statements as a "staggering attack on men and their role in modern life".

In June 2008, two members of Fathers 4 Justice staged a protest on the roof of her house in Herne Hill, London. After they climbed back off the roof they were arrested by police and bailed.
