CiderEagle Posted April 17, 2004 Report Share Posted April 17, 2004 DW has been instructed to avoid automatic promotion on the grounds that we will make more money if we go up via the playoffs - two sellout semi-final games, then a big day out at the Mill Stad, the club shop full of specially printed t-shirts, flags, kazoos, hats, not to mention the one-off replica kit with "Playoff Final 2004" on it, the souvenir video and so on, - then when we do go up, we will have an extra few hundred grand to buy players with.
