Keep the Faith
As long as his wage demands aren't too high he could provide some useful cover/competition for McIndoe.

dargla
Not good enough. Next. Unfair to judge him on that one game, I thought he put in some nice crosses. I don't think GJ would have signed any of the City players if he judged them on todays game. I thought there no.10 lokked ok liked to run at the players and take em on. Gaffer
Apparently he looks pretty useful. Played in a 9 a side game at the club last week and scored a couple of goals from what i hear, jumpers for goalposts and all that. Reckon he may sign, good pedigree at a top club, much like Noble huh?

I just get the feeling but I'm sure he coudl play better etc- just not sure he makes the grade for me. Looks like a League 2 player to me. And yes their No.10 and I think No.8 were quite good. Barnes played better than most of the other youngsters - took men on and beat them - and wanted it. Worth another look...
EmersonsKev
I think he earned himself another game to try and impress. In fairness to the lad the side of the pitch in the first half didnt help him as it looked very poor and bobbly.
BrotherErnieFromBarrowGurney
Can't see GJ signing him on that performance and don't we have enough ginger-haired players?

Portishead Red
The hand? What home of Clevedon Town? :noexpression: Anyway, this barnes lad didnt impress at all. Didnt go past his man and his crosses didnt pick out anybody in the box.
BS3_RED
So what happened to Richard Eckersley then. Does anyone know?
Red Army 79
Don't think Barnes is that special but he was one of our better players. I saw him beat his man a few times and put in some pritty good crosses. Don't think he is a championship player though.
MATT BCFC
So what happened to Richard Eckersley then. Does anyone know? Makes me think that was a mistake an it was infact Barnes who was on trial.

internetjef
with our lack of natural cover for mccindoe i hope gary can keep the trials going to have a really good look at him maybe judge him on 3 performances rather than 1. fingers crossed he can show enough
