I seem to remember it affected him last pre-season because he didn't have the right boots with special inserts to compensate for the shin problem and the grounds were harder .... or something like that. When Carey was out last season we endured a poor spell and if we are looking to finish near the top we cant let that happen again and would love to see us bring in another defender to compete with Fontaine and McCombe.
