redordead1
I was told today that following the breakdown in contract discussions with Michael Mifsud, Mifsud's agent apparantely labelled GJ a "f'king p***k" and stated that in the future he would never allow one of his players to even discuss terms with BCFC. Johnson replied with a short sharp "###### you" and that was that. After hearing of this I decided to find out a little bit more about him. http://www.maltatoday.com.mt/2002/0324/sport.html Doesn't appear to be a very nice character and I'm not surprised if his typically Nigerian "businessman"approach rubbed GJ up the wrong way. He wouldn't be the first.. http://www.independent.com.mt/news.asp?newsitemid=41555

What makes you think it's that Nigerian guy Damian Iwueke? There is no mention of him being Mifsud's agent in that article?

This fella seems to be bringing Nigerians/african players over to play in Malta. Its also from 2002! Mifsuds agent is Mark Taylor. You can get his contact details from the UEFA licensed agents list. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11683_2397795,00.html

We Apologies, for the delay of your payment and all the Inconveniences and Inflict that we might have indulge you through. boadle
Mifsuds agent is Mark Taylor. You can get his contact details from the UEFA licensed agents list. Nice. That should put paid to another piece of potentially libelous amateur investigative journalism worthy of the Evening Post.

He wouldn't be the first.. http://www.independent.com.mt/news.asp?newsitemid=41555 I've heard about 4 different versions of what happened - all guesswork I'm sure. for a start - after the w/end the contact was all by phone wasn't it, wasn't the problem that Mifsud & co didn't turn up when asked. The only people who know what happened were the people in the room / on the phone - or anyone they chose to tell. GJ doesn't strike me as the kind of manager who would blab all this to all and sundry at AG. I would guess only GJ/CS/SL at AG know the TRUTH and Mifsud's lawyer & Agent, even the Cov chairman didn't know what happened. you didn't even get the agent right So - I have to say Your story is total BS Why do people waste their time posting these fairy stories - I don't get it CR
