Some people deliberately ask for it Ballack, Murphy etc but until we sign someone of that nature we won't be using it. 12 i genuinely hope is not going to be "the fans" because they're the 12th man... I guess his number is going to remain unallocated until he sorts himself out, or maybe it's be taken from him and he hasn't been given another. JMW was 12 last year so it would be nice for it to be given to the Fans. Otherwise it looks like the players have mostly been given the same numbers or opted to stick with their lucky numbers. It was pretty confusing watching our players tonight, first of all in the white shirts when the opposition wore red, and then with all unfamiliar numbers eg LeeJ was number 8, Skuse was 4 etc!!! You know the type that if i was to press listen to world i'd hear GJ spout off. URGH! And despite having grown up with squad numbers i hate to see the ones we actually use (1-16) filled by anything other than the first choice 16.
