I'll admit that the bubble isn't perfect, a good mate of mine is a Cardiff ST holder and ideally i would make a weekend of it and go out in Cardiff on the Saturday night. The bubble trips really aren't that bad, it takes a little longer and you have to pay for the coach (not much extra money considering no pre match boozing :noexpression: ). If there wasn't a 'bubble' it would be a guranteed blood bath, i feel much safer being escorted off a coach than walking to the ground from my car in a City shirt!

any chance someone with contacts can talk to the club about a beamback?

ANY CHANCE SOMEONE AT THE CLUB CAN ORGANISE CITY FANS HAVING CITY STEWARDS this in my opinion may avoid over handedness, wind-ups etc (if we are that dangerous and they want to play silly buggers why not?).

Also, ok we all know the fixture, but if you wanted to cause trouble whats stopping you getting the train going over early anyway?

Anyone remmember who the lovely ref was last year that possibly lost us promotion wanted to make a note of it incase we got the splendid chap again this year.

you may well do and this could still happen however they could give people that do want to go make their own mind up. i think the whole situation is blown out of proportion. i mean, we were going over there for years with no bubble and nobody died did they?

there was trouble in the ground this year i hear with 'scarfers' getting hit with coins. if anything the bubble makes it worse for the fans not wanting trouble. if they let people that wanted trouble (we all know they exist so no point denying it) and let the ones that don't get the coach then the fans that don't want trouble would be less likely to be attacked in the ground.

Living in Cardiff I have mixed opinions on this trip.

In one respect it impinges on our basic "freedom of movement" but then again it is a lot safer to make everyone travel together.

Knowing a lot of Cardiff City supporters, most of them are decent enough. However, there are a few that are so full of hatred for the English which is compounded by the fact we are from Bristol that they would no doubt be looking for it whether you were a "scarfer" or a thug.

Having said that, unless you were completely obvious you were a City supporter or went around shouting your mouth off, it would be relatively safe. As for having our own stewards, I think this would help, but only a small amount because there would still be Cardiff stewards - who are just as bad as the fans from my experience and often incite the thuggery!

You can not fault BCFC for this because they have gone out their way to make it as easy as possible for supporters on both sides of the bridge to attend the game. What both clubs could look at is the funding of the coach trips free of charge to the supporters?

That would be K Stroud.

Really aren't that bad? You leave Ag at 11.15 and get there at about 2, You call that not bad? 2 hours and 45 mins on a coach for a journey that would take 45 mins tops in my car and then your looking at another 2 hour+ journey on the way home. You then get off the coach at the ground and are shoved into the ground by the police. Then once the game is finished you are kept in against your will and then you are eventually shoved back onto the coach. And then after a stupid amount of waiting around finally set off on the return journey which seems to be the scenic route.

Your damn right it's not perfect.

but you have to watch out ffor cardiff old bill ,stewards and fans there all as bad as eachother with coins be thrown

and they see the people who have thrown them and don't do nothing

If you want a beamback you would have to find out if there was a general interest in coming to AG to watch the match. Before you do that though i would email the club and ask them if they would be interested in having a beamback and if so how many people would be required in orer to make it profitable to the club.

Very disappointed that none of the coach rooutes come anywhere near me. Yet another example of the club riding roughshod over the ordinary supporter.

looking at your profile it says "from leicester" are you seriously moaning because none of the city coaches come near you???

back to the point.........it's unfortunate that Swansea and Cardiff are now always bubble trips, but it's the only way to ensure people's safety to and from the game, which has to be the most important thing.....

Agreed though......Coaches should have toilets on......it's just common sense, I still find it hard to believe that a coach can actually be built without a toilet?

Well for small trips then i would understand there not being a toilet but it takes hours to get to Cardiff and Swansea by coach so it should be common sense for them to have toilets. Or coach drivers which will stop at services for people to wee instead of making them go in bottles whilst the coach is moving or even worse weeing themselves :noexpression:

What's wroing with routing a coach via Leicester?? I'm sure I could get a couple of friends to come as well - they'd love a day trip to Cardiff nearly as much as they enjoyed their lovely day trip to Wembley in May. They all remarked that the kids did look good in their face paint and jolly jester hats and Aunt Maud thought the ref looked quite fetching too!! Everyone was quite disappointed that whatisface got carried off and would be pleased to see him running around again in Cardiff.

The club should make sure that all coaches have toilets on, forcing people on coaches and not putting toilets on them isnt good form.

Get treated like cattle just for watching your football team.

Toilets? Isn't that what the floor is for??

Don't the urine filled bottle come in handy in the ground?? :whistle2:

For only 2 games this season i am willing to make the effort and go on the coach. Last year we got there at about 1:20 and at least there is a bar in the ground for a few pre-match beers. It is annoying that you could drive there in half the time but an extra couple of hours added on to my journey isn't the end of the world and the main point is that i get to watch City beat Cardiff!

Having done every bubble trip so far i can safely there is no way i will be visiting NP agian.

Every season the incredible journey gets worse, last year we as the very first coach to arrive at the meeting point was told we could'nt leave the coach, after waiting 25mins for coaches 2,3,4 and 5 i really wanted a cup of tea and a fag! then as the other coaches started to arrive we watched in amazement as fans exited their coaches and headed for burger king! Finally after roughly an hour of waiting we was allowed to get off for 5mins because we was due off shortly!

20 MINS LATER WE LEFT!

Personally i would rather run the gauntlet from Cardiff central to NP by foot.

Swansea away is much better, plenty of food and bars open throughout the game and after.

NP is a complete dump, full of dim spotty chavs and i am so glad to see the back of it!
