dezgimed
Following the analysis work done by someone on here (sorry forgot who!) a couple of weeks back. I just wanted to see some overall stats for our League for attacking/creative midfielders. Not much to say. It speaks for itself and is interesting viewing. Goals Assists :noexpression:

Drew Peacock
Doesn't seem a very complete list. Where did that come from?
dezgimed
Doesn't seem a very complete list. Where did that come from? Ha, its homemade. It isnt every midfielder, but the ones who I assume play the playmaker/attacking midfielder at each club, some have 2 as I wasnt sure. Sheff W didnt seem to have anyone CM last season... Barneyredballs
Oi! This is a serious thread, for serious (local) people... Hang on, if you are going to include attacking midfielders, then McIndoe should be in; especially if Hooooolahan is. 7 goals and umptem assists, this info is not factual or accurate IMO. Not factual, or accurate? How do you work that out? Emitting other players doesnt make the info given wrong. Hoolahan didnt always play wide, McIndoe did. Drew Peacock
How many assists did Elliot have, he certainly scored a few.
PhatWill
Perhaps you could start by telling us in what way this is interesting and 'speaks for itself'? The top half dozen in the list are all quality players that aren't easy to come by.

The top half dozen in the list are all quality players that aren't easy to come by. Because the common theme on this forum is the contribution from Noble/Johnson in the centre. Yes, some assists from the latter, but with a hell of a lot more games. Goalscoring, bottom 2 among players of his position. Assists, 0.05 goals per game better than Noble. My point? We can do much better, that much is clear.
Drew Peacock
My point? We can do much better, that much is clear. Depends whether the issue is with the assisters not assisting or the strikers not striking. Johnson & Noble would have had a much better assist record with Phillips in front of them! Lack of Action Man
There was a similar thread a while back that some guy showed that Mcindoe provided most of our attacking impotus from midfield. Dissapointing to see how far down Watson is. Still higher than our man though
Drew Peacock
Dissapointing to see how far down Watson is. That's because he misses penalties He is 3rd in the assist table, in a team that was shoite for half the season.
dezgimed
I guess the bottom line is stats can prove anything but we can all see who is quality in this League. Buzacky and Lawrence top both tables, and both look quality on the pitch. How on earth QPR got the former from Plymouth so easy is anyones guess.
