SecretSam
I've tried Yahoo answers for this one, and no bu99er replied, so I'll ask here, where people are more intelligent: I really like City's new kit, but we've had some shockers in the past. When it's time for a new kit, I assume the manufacturers present a number of options to the club, but who is it that has the final say so? (apologies for management BS which follows) Are the fans (the ultimate consumers) or the players (the main users) ever consulted? I know, I know, sad that my mind trawls up these little nuggets... Percy Parrot
In the past different people have had the say. Shop managers, commerical managers etc. I believe this season (and maybe last) was Johnson.

westonred
Gary must have a big say. If you can remember when he first took over our away kit was champagne and looked like washed out gold. Gary said he didnt like this kit it made our players look weak it was changed on his say so. East Yorkshire CideRed
if you text 63336 from your mobile they'll tell you. you can ask them anything and they'll answer within 5 mins They took over an hour with the question "How many corners were there in total during the 1st half of Liverpool v Standard Liege?" If that shows up on my bill I'll be fuming!
cidersam
Nowadays it seems that most kit suppliers now design 2 or 3 styles each year. The club then decides which style it would like to use and the colour scheme to go with the style. Designing kits in my own time for football manager its suprising how many kits are exactly the same for numerous clubs just different colour scheme. edson
It was Richard Gould at one time. He even dabbled in a bit of badge design too, which was extremely well done and popular, as I recall.
