Service From Midfield Better

Williams and Elliott provided much better service tonight, aided by Johnson and the two fullbacks, its been siad that the strikers aren't scoring because they don't get the service. Tonight they had service, Adebola, Trundle and Maynard all had decent chances tonight, which in all fairness they should have done better with.

The pace at which Sheffield closed us down in the first half couldn't be kept up and when they tired, we failed to exploit the chances created by the space we found, on another day we could have won 4-0, its heartening to see chances created, frustrating to see them squandered.

Yes, it was better, but compared to the Barnsley game, Could it really have got any worse.

4 decent chances created all night, still not really good enough.

Though Williams looked a massive improvement, totally confused as to why he was subbed as looked the midfield capable of actually creating something, Elliott SLOWLY getting better just needs games, but with the likes of Reading coming up, EVERYONE needs to up their game.

On Saturday would start Williams in the Middle and John instead of Adebola

Williams was nowhere in the first half but great in the second (was happy on the ball), Elliot needs to step up a little more (to live upto his name created last year & improve on it). Now I liked Johnson last season but he was awful last night, very negative either loosing the ball or playing it backwards & killing any movement also I can't remember to many times that he won the ball from an opponent. He's should have gone off rather than Williams who was creating things for us.

Then we come onto Adebola, what does Johnson see in him. Trundle has to drop into Midfield to try & pick up the ball to create something, close players down & then we expect him to show us something magical. Adebola can't time a header to save his life & falls over after a few strides!

If only he gives Trundle & John a few games together & replaces Johnson with someone who likes having the ball & playing it about (or someone quick down the wing) then we really wouldn't have much to moan about as the rest of the team are great. Defence last night looked great.

Completly agree, would like to of seen LJ go off instead of Williams (although that never happens!!!)

Think Stern looked composed. Think he will work well with Maynard or Turnds!
