PhatWill
Can't believe it's 6 years since we've played them. Anyone else remember some of these quality matches against them? Football League One - KO 15:00 Reading 2 (1) - 1(0) Bristol C Brebner 15 Crawford 85 Tinnion 77 At Madejski Stadium on 07-08-1999 The one where Lavin broke a fans wrist and City took about 6,000 fans there. Pulis' first game. Football League One - KO 15:00 Bristol C 3 (1) - 1(0) Reading Torpey 45 Taylor 50 Beadle 76 Caskey 56 At Ashton Gate on 04-12-1999 Most goals we ever scored under Pulis in one game? Football League Trophy - Southern Section Semi - KO 19:45 Bristol C 4 (2) - 0(0) Reading Beadle 35 Thorpe 39 Thorpe 68 Murray 70 At Ashton Gate on 15-02-2000 The one before Exeter over two legs and then Wembley v Stoke. Football League One - KO 15:00 Bristol C 4 (3) - 0(0) Reading Peacock 9 Murray 18 Bell 30 Peacock 60 At Ashton Gate on 21-10-2000 Second consecutive 4-0 drubbing. Football League One - KO 19:45 Reading 1 (1) - 3(1) Bristol C Murty 9 Thorpe 45 Peacock 54 Matthews 71 At Madejski Stadium on 23-03-2001 Quality performance up there on a Friday night. The build up to both Peacock and Matthews goals was sublime. Football League One - KO 15:00 Reading 3 (2) - 2(1) Bristol C Mackie 12 Lever 44(og) Salako 51 Amankwaah 34 Thorpe 59 At Madejski Stadium on 10-11-2001 Can't remember too much about this one, Reading were flying high though at the time. Cureton no doubt got some shit. Football League One - KO 15:00 Bristol C 3 (2) - 3(3) Reading Peacock 6 Bell 13(p) Robinson 59 Hughes 2 Forster 5 (p) Watson 14 At Ashton Gate on 30-03-2002 Most memorable of the lot and probably the most exciting first 15 minutes of any game seen at Ashton Gate. Reading filled the away end from what I remember. So here's to a nice open game on Saturday and some goals!

Absolutely ridiculous opening quarter of an hour... I seem to remember both penalties being extremely soft decisions as well.
Grove Park Red
I can't remember seeing us lose to Reading at AG and there's always been a few goals. Vaguely remember an evening 2-1 in the early 80's when Trevor Senior was knocking goals in for fun for them and also a 2-1 in the late 80's. We were superb in the 4-0 in '00 when Dani did his ankle. I remember that one as well. 1983. The ball came into the corner of the stands between the East end and the Williams and my dad tried to nick the ball by putting it under his jumper, slipped and fell flat on his ar$e- prat!! Good times!
samo
Remember a good few of those. Was sitting in the Ateyo during that 3-1 home win under Pulis (4/12/99) and remember being right in line with Torpey's goal at the other end. In off the crossbar at the East End from a fair distance! Bet he never scored a better goal in his career!
