Reality Check, Once It All Sank In....

After feeling sad, gutted, embarresed, angry, I think we have to face the facts from yesterday.

We didn't play well and our tactics played straight into the hands of what is a very, very good championship Reading side. Those who say they weren't great or are not great, need to dig a little deeper.

This side were relegated on goal difference last year. They recorded 10 Prem wins last year and with B'ham, are a club who are essentially a Prem club. several of their players, should be playing Prem football this year. All of their 14 players used yesterday have Premier League experience. They will have the league's top-scorer this year in doyle, unless he goes to a prem side in Jan. they have beaten Wolves away, they have scored 3+ in 6 of their games this season.

These are not excuses, but facts. There are lessons to be learnt and as long as we learn, then yesterday was not a problem. If in December we lose like this, then maybe alarm bell time.

Reading will destroy other teams, just like they did to us yesterday.

The bottom line is, we weren't at the races and they were. They beat Everton, Newcastle, Liverpool, Sunderland, Middlesborough, Wigan & Man City last season.

They will be right up there at the end of the season.

It's a thumping, we're all upset, embarrased etc, but a line needs to be drawn and we need to now be thinking about the next game, not the last one.
