I mean technically you could come 3rd and not gain promotion for a good few seasons and be high up that league. It doesnt take into consideration the teams that you play. chelsea may be below us but they have been playing Premier League football for such a long time without being a "top 4 team" untill recently. During that time we were winning alot in what is now league 1 against teams chelsea even before the cash injection would have thrashed.
