Admin Maesknoll Red Posted April 26, 2004 Admin Report Share Posted April 26, 2004 Referee: Carl Boyeson - East Yorkshire Asst: Richard Lewtt - Nth. Yorkshire Asst: Bob Lockhart - Tyne & Wear Forgive me if I am sceptical, but isn't Barnsley in Yorkshire? QPR v Swindon get Chris Foy from Merseyside, the second week running they get a select group ref, but we get a local....conspiracy theroy begins....... Mr Boyeson is a fairly inexperienced ref, but those who travelled to Blackpool for last seasons 0-0 would have seen him. He currently lies 33rd (below halfway) in the Rate the Ref site league. And as an after thought, he has awarded 10 penalties so far this season. 02/03 27 (112) (9) Blackpool 0 v 0 City(4) BKD: Butler & Fagan 03/04 (To date) 30 (101) (9)
RedM
I know what you are saying. I think our main hope is as Barnsley is in SOUTH Yorkshire (?) they won't be getting any favours from their East and North Yorkshire neighbours.
cheshire_red
It's Chesterfield April 2003 all over again! Wasn't that linesman from just over the border in S. Yorks?
redZW
Actually, we've been surprised at the number of 'Somerset', 'North Somerset' and 'Gloucestershire' officials that have been present at City's home games this season. Maybe it's because refs don't like travelling far, I dunno... God, I hope it's not Chesterfield all over again, what a nightmare that one was! Guest Father Dougal
As long as it's not the one who refereed the home match against Oldham. I haven't a clue where he was from, but I'm convinced he hated us.
bcfc seattle
hmmm 10 penalties wonder if we'll get one. Then again our best chance seemed was Lita getting thumped in the box and getting carded for diving... ahhhh
