Saturday 19th January - Away in league Monday 18th February - Home in league Saturday 10th May - Play-off away leg Tuesday 13th May - Play-off home leg Saturday 22nd November - Away in league Sunday 28th December - Home in league Surely that is getting on for some kind of record? Does anyone know what the record is for the most times we have played a team in 1 year? there must of been a season when the FA cup had unlimited replays a few years back when we played someone by more. i remember one season in the 80's having about 3 replays v aldershot or something when i think they were in our league as well. redcityman Posted November 21, 2008 Report Share Posted November 21, 2008 In 97/98 we played bournemouth 4 time and drawing once. 1-1 league home 1-3 FA cup 2nd rnd away 0-1 footbal league trophy away 0-1 league away thats the most by any one team i can think of. Just found the result for our encounter with Aldershot in the FA cup on soccer base. season 1988/89 1-1 home league 25/10/88 1-1 fa cup away 10/12/88 0-0 fa cup home 13/10/88 2-2 fa cup away 20/10/88 1-0 fa cup home 22/10/88 0-1 away league 21/2/89 4 games in 12 days, you don't see that often, now a days its usually more than a week before a replay, can't imagine it would have been much fun for the players either. I can't remember the dates but Bob Taylor scored for us and John taylor scored for them. But way in front with 36 matches in the last 20 years is the team that love to use our own Mr Bristol City (biffo) to show the caravan club of north bristol how to defend, also did they put them out of the JPT as well as the FA Cup this season too?
