Bristol Boy Posted April 27, 2004 Report Share Posted April 27, 2004 Not difficult for me, Steve pays their wages and if Tommy & Luke got injured and missed the rest of the season he'd have a right to feel aggrieved and I'm sure there would be plenty of unhappy posters on here as well. I don't think that Luke going off to play with Australia has benefitted him or the club at all, he seems have lost some form since he came back. Maybe an extended run in the team, as part of a settled side would have helped his game more than spending time away. There will be a fair few chairmen and managers upset at the poor timing of these friendlies - how much could it cost a promotion chasing club? 100% spot on. Many of these games are meaningless and LW will have to make a decision as to "which side his breads buttered." You're right that these call ups have diminished his performances for us and called his value at £250,000 into question. Even DW perfers a fit BT & TD.
