Just because you sat next to him once in a pub doesn't mean you've got to brown-nose up to him. :wub:

He's not won the title at the 'spiritual home of darts' and he made a pigs ear of it last year when Mardle came from way behind to beat him in the QF's. Yes, grubby does have a bit of a tough draw, but if Taylor isn't on top of his game then the short format of the early rounds does give him a chance.

I agree, Taylor seems to settle more as the legs go on, often he is a bit wobbly to start. The short rounds won't give him this luxury of time. Grubby qualified and is there on merit, so if you are going to play someone it might as well be the top player!
