Owain Tudur Jones (born 15 October 1984 in Bangor, Wales) is a Wales international footballer who currently plays for Swansea City. A midfielder, Jones was signed from Bangor City for £5,000 prior to the 2005/06 season after a successful trial period.[citation needed]

During his first full season as a professional he made 21 league appearances, scoring three goals. He also made his debut for the Welsh Under-21 side and at the end of the season also received a call up to the full international squad.

During the summer of 2001, Owain joined Bangor City from then Cymru Alliance club Porthmadog F.C.. In four seasons, Owain was in the Citizens' team that lost the 2002 Welsh Cup final to Barry Town at Park Avenue, Aberystwyth. He also played in the Intertoto Cup in June 2002 against Romanian side Gloria Bistriţa.

In his first season at Farrar Road, 2001-02, Owain went on trial to Chelsea.

On 19 December 2006 it was announced that Owain would be travelling to America to see the renowned surgeon Dr Richard Steadman for a second opinion on his ongoing knee problem.

He made his international debut for Wales in a friendly against Luxembourg on March 26, 2008.

I thought he was great for Swansea when they played us, I was frustrated that our hoofball was always picked out by Mr Jones. He was just impenetrable at times.

Can't really see this happening, but we all know Gary.
