Chivs
You're out by a year! The list you have presented is last years i.e for Year 2007. There are no BCFC players in this year's list. You could make a case for Elliot and Basso but unfortunately not many others. The number of Wolves and Reading players in the list stands out but I can't really disagree. The only omission is possibly Speroni at Palace.

I'm reading the newspaper which can be found here on line http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/footbal...ml?action=Popup (sorry links don't seem to work for me on here) or here http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/footbal...ue-1234196.html if the popup doesn't work. Ahh I see, did not see that page, my alert forwarded me direct to my linked page, so the link must have typo's and i guess it's 2005,2006 & 2007 not 06,07 & 08, they have messed that up then... South_Coast_Red
The list is largely made up of players that performed well in the Prem and U21 internationals so given that the majoority of GJ's purchases are from the lower leagues, it is understandable that we're not represented. That said, I don't necessarily agree that Marv or Basso aren't in there...but I don't think we have many outstanding individuals to feature in such a list. If Maynard continues his scoring form there's a good chance of him featuring next year but it's generally a list for headline grabbers, which tend to be regular goalscorers. TinnionForEngland
Seriously?? I agree, how ridiculous, a few decent games doesn't make up for about 30 or 40 awful ones.
Redhyde
I agree, how ridiculous, a few decent games doesn't make up for about 30 or 40 awful ones. It does if you're David Beckham for England.
TinnionForEngland
It does if you're David Beckham for England. Comparing Ivan Sproule with David Beckham is a bit out of touch though isn't it, after all one of them has played for England, Manchester United, Real Madrid and AC Milan, so must have a bit about him.
