This season has seen Barnsly, and now QPR seriously sort out their finances and now look to use investment in proven players as the way forward. We have already seen Plymouth shoot up the leagues through sound management at all levels (They almost went bust in 97) and the scum over the river buy promotion.

Next season we can see Hull and Sheffield Wednesday go out and sign top (For our level) players and reap the rewards.

Our bored have done wonders for us, and the youth system has given us a half decent first team, but is it now time to change strategy?

Can we compete using players that "might" succeed year to year when our major rivals go out and buy a proven players?

Don't rip me to shreds, I'm only putting an idea forward

Money is'nt everything as the Champions have demonstrated.
Too true. With the stability and core of Academy talent we've nurtured in recent years, coupled with the investment in the squad at the start of the year and throughoutthe campaign, we should have walked a spot in the top two.

Money helps, but it ain't everything.
