megansdad
As we in Asia say goodbye to the year of the Rat and welcome the year of the Ox with a few days off I wonder if the "few days off" Gary and the team are enjoying over the Chinese New Year augurs well for our workmanlike side in the New Year. Those born in the year of the Ox are said to exhbit the following characteristics: Those born under the influence of the Ox are fortunate to be stable and persevering. The typical Ox is a tolerant person with strong character. Not many people could equal the resolution and fearlessness the Ox exhibits when deciding to accomplish a task or an objective. As we used this great creature long ago to plow the soil day after day, so do Ox people labor through their daily responsibilities either at work or at home without complaint or gripe. Oxen know they will succeed through hard work and sustained effort and find no truth or benefit in concocting get-rich-quick schemes. Sounds like our leader may have been born in a prior OX year, though wiki tells me he was born in 1955 the year of the Ram/sheep : Sheep are nurturers. They enjoy taking care of other people. Like their animal counterpart, Sheep people are pretty calm individuals. Their personalities are quiet, reserved and soothing. They like to be in the company of others but do not wish to be in the middle of everything. They like standing in the back, watching contently from the sidelines, as others dazzle the company. Sheep will generally do better than they are aware because they are so good at keeping the peace and accomplishing the tasks at hand. Of our current squad Dele certainly in his display against wolves led the line with OX like strength, and the team seem well set to prosper this year. Big Stan Hibbert
Interesting... Gary quite often refers to the "Ox in the box" quality he looks for in his strikers.
Red Ferret
Gary Johnson - Born: 28th September 1955 Chinese star sign: Sheep/Goat Element: Wood The Wood Goat/ Sheep - loyal, bighearted, motivated by "trust", "sentimental" and considerate. Some of their other traits include: being overwhelmed by their emotions, a tendency to become somewhat negative, gloomy and introvert. They are natural born worriers who will always predict and expect the worst. They especially loathe criticism and regulation and sometimes find it difficult to maintain an objective view on things. However they are kindhearted, mild, understanding and very forgiving. Ruler of the hours 1pm to 3pm Direction - South/Southwest Season - Summer/July
