alandicks Posted April 5, 2009 Report Share Posted April 5, 2009 For nearly an hour I could not believe that we had not taken more advantage of Mawane.I can remember Maynard & McIndoe doing him easily.Surely the two statues in our technical area could see this and should have instructed the troops at half time to exploit this maybe putting Sproule upfront with Maynard and replacing Adebola,(who I thought worked their defence very well), with Williams instead of the completely ineffectual substitution 5 mins from time. I know this has been covered in another thread but surely this was a must win game and the subs,especially Williams, should have been used much earlier to give thmeselves a chance to impose themselves on the game.I run a parks team and cannot understand for the life of me the substitutions and their timings nor the seemingly 90 mins of the same tactics when there was an obvious weakness ate the heart of their defence.
