Pie Eater
Does anyone else think it is strange that Coles gets an extension to his contract and Peacock has to wait to the end of the season I know it is probably the club looking after there best interests but I wonder what it does to players morale. Or is it club policy (Like Liam) to leave it till the contract has ran out and let someone else sign our better players when they are out of contract. RedM
Might it be that there is interest from other clubs in Coles (not Peacock) and by signing him to a longer contract we can justify asking a bigger fee for him, or put out the message that he is not for sale. Just a guess! :sport18:
potbelly
There is a long list of players whose contracts are up at the end of this season. My guess is that nothing will happen with any of these until we know where we will be and who will be in charge next season. If circumstances lead to us needing a new manager in the summer then surely it will be easier for the new man to build a fresh squad this way.
