terjon
We need to bring in 2 decent wide who can run, work and cross a ball, Sproule ( Headless) Mccindoe ( Head Down, always wonders inside to much, holds on to the ball to long, no end product) This must be the first thing Mr Johnson Must address early doors. internetjef
Totally Agree No width today. Mcindoe and williams have both wanted to play centre mid all season, sproule does stay out wide pretty well but has no end product. 2 additions would be spot on! The_Boy
The lack of width was shocking today, what made it worse was that the few times McIndoe actually looked to hug the touchline he was completely ignored! Could Scotty Murray maybe borrow Sproule's legs?

Does any team at this level play with two wide men, in the manner that you seem to be suggesting, anymore?

The_Boy
I do wonder if City fans actually study the game of football or not. Width both sides going forward to stretch the defence, tuck in and have strikers chasing back when not in possession of the ball. It seems to work quite well for most teams when you have the talent to do so!

There is no single issue, in which I will ever agree with you more. Sproule can't really help what he does, but McIndoe, McIndoe is capable of getting around the full back and putting over a great cross, so why oh why does he spend so much time effing about in the middle of the park, generally adding nothing of value. terjon
No, not at this level or above. I do wonder if City fans actually study the game of football or not. Or are we stuck in the 60's. w wingers went with the ark.Mc Indoe comes inside, why? because we are over run most of the time, this is in part due to having 2 widemen, but also because LJ is too weak. Most teams have at least one quick left or right sided player, but the other player tends to interchange with the other 2 central players. All midfield players need to be able to cross the ball, no matter. Top team in this league and in the prem man utd play with wide men, maybe you should study the game mate......... Many of the top sides in this division play with wide players on both sides who are not only capable of getting to the by line and crossing but spend most of their time looking for the opportunity to. Wolves - Kightly and Jarvis Reading - Hunt and Kebe Cardiff - Whittingham and Parry (and Ledley) Burnley - Eagles and Elliott The difference between us and them is that McIndoe has to tuck in a lot to compensate for the weakness in the middle of the park and Sproule can't cross. They don't have that problem and their wide players by and large only tuck in when seriously on the back foot.
Guest Eamer
McIndoe is the biggest disappointment this season.
