The worst thing is nit the conjecture it's the apparent certainty. Someone mentions a name on here, that post gets picked up by the press, that is used as confirmation and all of sudden it's a definite target or signing. Then, when we don't sign them, all the rumours start. He wouldn't play for GJ, he would be too much competition for LJ, we wont pay his wages etc.

Once the rumours start it seems that any denial by the club is almost seen as confirmation of the rumour, SL and GJ can't win. They try to keep things quiet and then when something like the "Egyptian affair" comes around, everyone wants to know why they announced anything.
