We have more chance of GJ re-signing Danny Coles than Doc

Not nearly good enough and was never actually that good even at his best, not a good professional either, but still fond of him .....in a pitiful way.

I'm surprised he's still playing football if I'm honest, a GJ player he is certainly not.

Doherty was with City for what - about 9 seasons? - and in all that time he only had 2 or 3 good ones.

His disciplinary record was only matched by a similarly poor appearance record.

A great shame because when he first burst into the City team many of us saw in him a future Captain of BCFC for many years to come.

Truth is such was his patchy appearance record and lack of progress it was probably only his huge popularity amongst sections of the fans plus the patience and goodwill of the club - both desperate for him to succeed - that perhaps prolonged his City career beyond it's natural length.
