And Its Smith Posted July 9, 2009 Report Share Posted July 9, 2009 don't worry, my uncles best mate's brother's bin man is not Charlie Adam's cousin and told me that the reason Charlie Adam's transfer has been delayed from Rangers to Blackpool is because he was at Ashton Gate today. However, I would think this is the guy we are looking for. 500k and a great replacement for McIndoe. Scores more goals, sets up more. Plays left and is a very good crosser of the ball. Ross Verbals Posted July 10, 2009 Report Share Posted July 10, 2009 I am only going by the Blackpool game at Ashton Gate last season but I agree that Charlie Adam, whilst clearly possessing endeavour and a quality left foot, seemed a little overweight and certainly a yard short of the pace a traditional winger would need. I guess he would play similar to Andy Reid at Sunderland, being able to cross the ball from further out than the byline, or drifting centrally. Perhaps if we could get McIndoe's fitness and pace and combine Adam's crossing ability we could create that elusive left winger we all agree we need if McIndoe does indeed move on... He looked brilliant for them and then went to Norwich and was, presumably, rubbish. Is he still there? Could GJ turn him around or is he a lost cause?
