leylandsroad
Southampton have sold 21,500 tickets for this game tomorrow and are exacted a huge walk up turnout on the day so should reach 25,000. We couldn't even cope with 11,000 with our ticket office.

That's a fair point but have'nt they just been taken over ? Southampton are a massive club, we would only get near that against Liverpool and Man U. Alex_BCFC
Their average attendance last year was 17.5k so it won't be that suprising to see over 20k if they have a new manager etc. I suspect with their set-up they won't have the problems we had on Tuesday too. One of the major problems with Ashton Gate is the is cramped in with hardly any space between the Dolman & Atyeo ticket office.

Andy Horsman
The other factor is probably sheer relief that there is still a club to support!! For a while it looked a bit hairy and they lost so many quality players while they were in administration, so the fans probably are keen to celebrate the continued existence of Southampton FC. Fair play to them and I bet they are thrilled at the prospect of playing minnows like Bristol Rovers.
