This is getting laughable really and much more than a blip. That's 14 lost points incidentally and in the same time frame we've scored just one. Different personal yes, but the same defensive, invite pressure, tactics are being employed by Johnson. I remember a period (Wilson/Tinnion??) when we couldnt defend free kicks to save our life, very tedious when the same error never gets fixed. Generally over the last 4 years we've got away with it but I can't remember the last game we won where the last 5/10 minutes wasn't an onslaught towards our goal. exiledinwatford Posted August 8, 2009 Report Share Posted August 8, 2009 Two things - we have this playing style when we're ahead of trying to hold out. Hoisting a white flag - come and get us. Defend deep - today their only tactic was to belt a high ball deeper and deeper up to Parkin and those Parkin lookalikes. Sooner or later something was bound to happen.
