madmax
What if we allowed them to pop down the other end and score a goal? The refs decision is final therefore surely allowing them a goal would contravene the FA rules on competition? Not sure of all league rules but could we have been in trouble? purescience
I'd say it would have raised a few eyebrows and possibly even more court cases in the world of sports betting.

MM If we'd let them down the other end to score we'd have been a goal up and Colin would have been even more unhappy. But had we let them down to the same end - say the resulting free kick (for all you Palace fans reading) had been knocked out to one of their strikers to tap in then a whole new can of worms opens up. I'd like to know how bookies paid out, or not, on the Plymouth-Yeovil game with correct score predictions.
madmax
For these reasons, I think the FA would have punished us therefore GJ and KM have done the correct thing here. MM
